






SMM News on May 13: Today, specifications in east China were basically stable, while silicon prices for some specifications in Tianjin Port declined. In east China, oxygen-blown #553 silicon was priced at 9,000-9,200 yuan/mt, and #441 silicon at 9,300-9,400 yuan/mt, unchanged from the previous day. In Tianjin Port, #553 silicon was priced at 8,700-8,900 yuan/mt, also unchanged from the previous day. The futures market experienced significant fluctuations over the past two days. The most-traded Si2506 contract reached a high of 8,385 yuan/mt this morning, but subsequently declined and closed at 8,190 yuan/mt at midday. In terms of market trading volume, downstream alloy users and others released demand orders over the past two days. Some traders reported an improvement in trading volume compared to WoW. Suppliers' quotations were largely stable, while downstream users still had a sentiment to drive down prices.
